The fine print, kept simple

These terms apply whenever you book a consultation, a custom date or a date package with us. By booking, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Plan You a Date ("PYAD", "we", "us") is a date and experience planning service based in Calgary, Alberta. Plan You a Date is operated by Spulse Technologies Corp. You can reach us anytime at info@planyouadate.ca.

2. What we do

We plan and coordinate date experiences. We choose the local businesses, book each stop, handle the timing and pull everything together so you can simply show up and enjoy it.

The experiences themselves, like a sound bath, a massage, a pottery session or a meal, are provided by independent local businesses we partner with ("partner businesses").

3. Our partner businesses

Partner businesses are independent. They are not owned or operated by PYAD, and they are responsible for their own services, staff, premises, safety and products.
Some partners will contact you directly before your date, for example with a waiver, an intake form or preparation details. Please complete these on time, as a partner may not be able to serve you without them.
Each partner's own rules and policies apply while you are with them.
PYAD is not responsible for the acts, omissions, services or products of partner businesses. If something goes wrong at a partner's location, please tell us and we'll do our best to help you resolve it with them.

4. Booking and payment

Bookings are paid in full online at the time of booking. The 15-minute consultation is free.
Date packages must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Special holidays may need more notice.
Your booking is a request until every partner business has confirmed your times. We'll send your final confirmation once they have.
If a partner business can't accommodate your date, we'll offer you another date or a comparable alternative. If neither works for you, we'll refund what you paid for the part we couldn't deliver.
Prices are in Canadian dollars and are for two people unless stated otherwise.

5. What's included, add-ons and price changes

Each package lists what's included. Anything not listed is not included.
Add-ons such as brunch, flowers or car service are quoted and paid separately.
Where a package includes a spa experience, it covers a couples spa experience of up to $200, gratuity included. Spa times depend on availability, and choosing a different treatment or spa may change the price. We'll always confirm any price difference with you before booking it.
Gratuity is not included for add-ons or anything you purchase yourself during your date unless we tell you otherwise.

6. Cancellations and changes

To cancel or change your booking, email us at info@planyouadate.ca. We'll reply within 1 business day to confirm. Cancellations can't be made through the website.

Refunds and changes follow our refund and booking policy, which forms part of these terms. Because we book partner businesses on your behalf, late cancellations may not be refundable.

We may need to change or cancel a booking ourselves, for example because of a partner closure, severe weather or an emergency. If we do, we'll offer you a new date, a comparable alternative or a refund for the affected part of your booking.

7. Your health and safety

Please tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, injuries, health conditions or pregnancy that could affect your experience. We share what's relevant with partner businesses so they can take care of you.
You take part in each activity voluntarily and at your own risk, and you're responsible for deciding whether an activity is right for you.
Partner businesses may refuse or end a service if they believe it isn't safe, or if a guest is impaired or behaving inappropriately. In that case, no refund is owed for the missed portion.
Experiences are intended for guests 18 years of age or older unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Your date, on time

Please arrive on time for each stop. Partner businesses keep time slots for you, so arriving late may shorten your experience, and missed time can't always be made up or refunded.

9. Photos and keepsakes

Some experiences include a camera for you to capture your day, which we develop into a keepsake for you. Your photos are yours. Whether we may share any photos from your date, for example on our social media, is covered in the waiver you'll sign before your date, and we'll only share them if you've said yes.

10. Surprise dates

If you book a date as a surprise, you're responsible for making sure your date is available and comfortable with the plans, including any allergies or health considerations. We'll keep the details between us.

11. Your information

We collect the details you give us to plan and deliver your date. We share only what's needed, such as your names, contact details, booking times and relevant allergy or health information, with the partner businesses on your booking. We don't sell your information.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PYAD's total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid PYAD for that booking. PYAD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the services, products or premises of partner businesses.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
