Some of the best dates happen when your hands are busy and your phones are away. At SO-Q Studio, husband-and-wife ceramic artists Sowgand and Kiumars open their doors just for the two of you.
Walking in feels like stepping into a friend's home: warm, quiet and filled with pieces they've made by hand. Fresh flowers are already waiting for you. Then Sowgand guides you step by step, from your first touch of the clay to something you'll actually be proud of, with so much patience that even a total beginner ends up feeling like a natural. Expect laughing, a few lopsided first tries, and probably a little clay where it shouldn't be. Afterward, slow down over coffee or tea, and head home with a little surprise from us. About a month later, your piece is glazed, fired and ready to pick up, a second little moment from the same date. You won't book, plan or think about a single thing. Just show up and make something together.

First dates are hard enough without stressing over where to go, whether the table will be good, and how to fill the first awkward silence. Leave that to us. You pick the night. We pick the spot, have bubbles waiting when you arrive, and give you something to talk about. All you have to do is show up and be yourself (the good version).
